Maple Butter Blondie

For the Blondie:
1 cup (packed) light brown sugar
1/3 cup unsalted butter, softened
3 large eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
9 ounces (1 3/4 cups) all-purpose flour
1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
3/4 teaspoons salt
1/3 cup water
1 cup chopped walnuts
6 ounces white chocolate, chopped into chunks
For the Glazed Pecans:
2 Tablespoons unsalted butter
1/4 cup (packed) light brown sugar
2 tablespoons water
1 cup chopped pecans
For the Maple Cream Cheese Sauce
8 ounces (1 cup) cream cheese, softened
4 ounces (1 cup) powdered sugar
2 tablespoons maple syrup
2 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
* IF wanted 8 scoops of Vanilla Ice Cream*
Instructions:
1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit
2. Combine the Brown Sugar with the Butter, Eggs and Vanilla in a large bowl. Beat well with high speed mixer until creamy.
3. Combine the Flour, Baking Powder, and Salt in a medium bowl. Combine this mixture with the previous mixture (step 2) along with the water and mix well on low speed until combined.
4. Add the walnuts and white chocolate and mix by hand. Spread the mixture into a 9 x 13- inch baking pan that has been lined with aluminum foil or parchment paper.
5. Bake for 22-26 minutes or until the top has browned.
6. When cool, slice the blondie across the middle then slice down 3 times creating 8 even portions.
7 . Make the glazed pecans by melting the butter in a medium saucepan in medium heat. Add the brown sugar and water and heat until bubbling.
8. Add the pecans and continue to stir for 2-3 minutes or until the water has cooked away.
9. Remove pan from heat and continue stirring until the sugar crystallizes on the buts. Pour the nuts into a plate to cool.
10. For the Maple Cream Cheese Sauce start by combining all the ingredients in a microwave safe bowl and mixing it with an electric mixer until smooth. Heat up the sauce in a microwave oven for 30 to 60 seconds on high until warm.
11. You can the serve this Dessert on a small cast iron skillet over medium heat for 3 to 4 minutes or until its hot. Top with the cream cheese sauce and sugared Pecans. * You can also put your Ice-cream up here if wanted.*
